My soaps are made with organic, natural wholesome ingredients without any harsh chemicals or synthetics. Some are made with random patterns and some are solid colors. The ingredients include combinations of organic and natural plant based oils, distilled water, food grade sodium hydroxide, natural colorants, and pure essential oils for scent. Some soaps are unscented.
Grass fed beef Tallow is used in most of the soaps I make. As one author of soap literature comments on the use of tallow states, "Now, I love the oil cleansing method and other beauty treatments that rely on plant-based oils, but when it comes to deeply nourishing my skin I’ve found that animal-based fats work better". Tallow is uniquely compatible with the biology of our cells. Not only will the soap product be richer in minerals, fat soluble vitamins and micronutrients, it will also be much more pure. The tallow used is from grass fed, free range cattle, making it free from grains, growth hormones and antibiotics. These free range cattle are treated humanely. I do made some all plant-based only soaps for those who practice a vegan lifestyle. Please feel free to contact me to inquire on ingredients.
My homemade, handcrafted soap started out with a personal desire to make a healthy bar of soap for myself without the unnecessary harsh chemicals that are utilized in most manufacturing soap businesses. I found making the soap to be rewarding and wanted to share my soap products at an affordable prices. I have sensitive skin and wanted products that looked good and smelled naturally refreshing but are also really good for your skin too!
Food grade sodium hydroxide (lye) is used to make the soap. The cold and hot process technique are used. This process known as saponification produces a soap without lye in the end product when curing is complete.
A common question some people will ask is, "how long do natural soaps last?" Handmade soaps generally will last as long as commercial soaps with proper care. Proper care includes not letting soap sit in water, storing on a well drained soap dish, let soap dry between uses. For one person showering every day, a well drained bar of soap should last at about one month. Shelf life generally 1 - 2 years depending on type of oils used. It is recommended to use natural soaps be used within 12 months of purchase especially if they are scented.
All of my products do not contain the following:
* Sulfates * Parabens * Petrochemicals * Synthetic Fragrance Oils * Unnatural colorants * Detergents * Triclosan (anti-bacterial) * Titanium dioxide (a dye)
All of my oils are non-GMO, organic, and natural.
